Setting up your eMail account in your eMail program:

    1. In your mail program choose to set up a POP3 account. (This might be hidden under custom settings in ome mail programs.)
    2. Follow the account setup procedure for your eMail Program and use the access information sent to you.
    3. In order to set up your mail program to work with our servers, you need the following aditional information:
        • Authentication:

In the 'username' field enter your full eMail address.

In the 'password' field enter the password given to you.

        • Server addresses (see next section for protocols):

      POP3: pop.fmnethosting.net

      SMTP: smtp.fmnethosting.net

      • Mail Protocols:
        • Secured eMail communication (mandatory) :
          • Outgoing Mail: SMTP protocol
            • with SSL/TLS: on port 465
              or
            • with STARTTLS: on port 587

          • Incoming mail: POP3 protocol
            • with SSL/TLS: on port 995
              or
            • with STARTTLS: on port 110
          • Incoming mail: IMAP protocol
            • with SSL/TLS: on port 993
              or
            • with STARTTLS: on port 143

The authentication method for all of the above is: Login with normal Password (sometimes also referred to plain text)

The outgoing (SMTP) connection should also use the same authentication as the incoming connection. Many eMail clients have a setting that uses the same authentication data as configured for the incoming mail connection.
